D’Amato called for a strong lobby to pressure the United States government to overturn its detrimental Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act that was signed into law last year. Several attempts have been made to counter the UIGEA, including Barney Frank’s act proposal, which is gaining momentum with the backing of new politicians each month. D’Amato said that everything should be done to halt the internet gambling prohibition. “We look like the ugly American”, he retorted.
