Oklahoma Tribes Drop Online Poker Site

A change in political power has brought the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes to decrease ties to PokerTribes.com, a multimillion-dollar website that may have led the way for gambling online in Oklahoma.

Incoming Gov. Eddie Hamilton, whose official capacity is within dispute as the tribe struggles having a divided government, lately changed several high-ranking casino personnel as well as an attorney general who have been involved with PokerTribes.com. The tribe compensated $9.4 million for that website, which is not presently active.

Also, he directed attorney Richard Grellner to prevent going after a suit seeking approval to function the website. Grellner filed the suit 12 ,. 26 in federal court in Oklahoma City from the U.S. Department of Interior court public records show it’s pending.

Located in Concho, the tribe of 12,000 people works four casinos, including Lucky Star Casino, that has locations in Concho and Clinton.
